dc.description.abstractKompleks dikhloropentasulfametoksazolbesi(III) khlorida.nhidrat, [Fe(sm) 5 Cl]Cl 2. nH 2 O telah disintesis. Kompleks bersifat paramagnetik dengan m eff = 5,83 BM, muatan kation : anion = 2:1 serapan maksimum 357,0nm (l 1 ) dan 334,1nm (l 2 ). Serapan gugus fungsi N-H primer (3469 cm-1) dari sulfametoksazol mengalami pergeseran ke arah bilangan gelombang yang lebih besar (3478 cm-1), diperkirakan N-H primer terkoordinasi pada Fe(III). Spektra elektronik [Fe(sm) 5 Cl]Cl 2 dalam methanol menunjukkan serapan maksimum 357,0 nm {e 1 = 479,67 (L. mol - -1.cm-1)} dan 334,1 nm {e 1 = 484,48 (L. mol - -1.cm-1)}. Transisi elektron pada kompleks adalah transisi 6A 1g ®4T 2g (D) untuk l 1 dan transisi 6A 1g ®4E g (D) untuk l 2 . Struktur kompleks diperkirakan oktahedralen_US
