Diarrhea is still a health problem and cause of death among under five children. Improper environmental sanitation can increase diarrhea cases. The aim of this research was to investigate the correlation between environmental sanitation and diarrhea among under five children in Puskesmas Nogosari Kabupaten of Boyolali. Research method that used in this research was observational with cross sectional approach. The subjects of this research were house hold wives who had children and their children have got diarrhea during June to December 2009 with population 328 children. Samples were chosen using simple random sampling technique. There were 60 house hold wives who were involved in this research. Chi square test was used to analyze the data. The result showed that there was a correlation between source of drinking water (P = 0,001), ownership of latrine (P = 0,018), house floor type (P = 0,036) and case of diarrhea among under five children. There was not any correlation between physical quality of water (P = 0,307) and the case of diarrhea among under five children.en_US
