dc.description.abstracthe Poor control of density of asphalt pavement layers during construction, will lead to the variation of the density of the asphalt pavement. While the thin of pavement layer, it will undergo a great strain when receiving vehicle load and strain will disappear when the load the vehicle is passing. Repeated stretching process will speed up the asphalt pavement material fatigue. This research aims to produce a formula modulus of elasticity and the number of loading cycles as a function of density. Number of loading cycles is representative of the age of the pavement. The study was conducted by making asphalt concrete beam with width 63 mm, thickness 50 mm and length of 380 mm which has a density of 2.30 gr/cm3, 2.20 gr/cm3, and 2.08 gr/cm3. Specimens were then tested with a Beam Fatigue Apparatus at 25oC. The results showed that the greater the density, the greater the elastic modulus of the asphalt concrete and the more of the number of loading cycles that can be retained by the asphalt concrete. Formula modulus of elasticity as a function of density is expressed by the equation: y = 98x4. Formula number of loading cycles as a function of density is expressed by the equation: y = 171x7.en_US
