dc.description.abstractIn addition the aesthetic value, the literature also contains value and norms of the public life, universe, psychiatric, ideas, intellect and human emotions. Therefore, the literature can be taught to think rationally and solutions in addressing an event. Children can learn the characters through themes, characters and characterization, plot, setting, style and mandate of the existing in children’s literature. Through this study, children were trained to manage emotions, controlling feelings, develop ideas and creativity. In this study, the method used is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of children’s literature in the formation of character through intrinsic element. The results of this study, through the theme of children are taught to live always helping in terms of goodness. In the character and the main character of the character is Dido bee have a jolly character, agile, clever and smart. Supporting cast is another character with a variety of character who favor merit. The grooves which used the advanced groove recounts the journey of the main character. The setting in the children’s story implies the situation, time, place and social. Style of language used tends to have a child familiar with the properties. The moral of the story is contained thirteen children pointsin_ID
