Rancang Bangun Sistem Informasi Manajemen Presensi Berbasis SMS Gateway (Studi Kasus : SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura)

Abstract

Preli minary investigation showed that atendance monitoring for students, administrative employees and teachersof SM P Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura is mana ged by using man ua lly paper ba sed system. This systems is not permitting parents to get up da te atten dance status of their children so that in the case students are coming late or not attending the class at all they just get inf ormed several days afterwards or not get informed at all. This pa per discusses research has been done on development of attendance monitoring man agement for students, clerical employees an d teachers of SMP Muhammad iyah 1 Kartasura b ased on website a nd SMS gatewa y technology. The ob jective of the research is to off er a computer and cellular based systems for attenda nce mon itoring of students, clerical employees, and teachers of SMP Muh ammad iyah Kartasu ra. The system was developed using PHP and MySQL database for web-ba sed user interfa ce and Gammu for SMS Gateway. The main features o f resulted system are parents are get update instan tly when their children are coming late of not coming to the class and headmaster get informed directly when there is ad ministrative employe and teacher is coming late or not coming. The user acceptan ce test showed that more than 80% of respondes said that the system is user f riendly and very useful.
