    Abstract
    This research describes the general discourse, or the dominant discourse, another discourse or discourse of the marginalized, and the impact on the recognition of the position of fans fiction in Indonesian literature using the theories of Michel Foucault's discourse. It is important under review due to fan fiction is a literary phenomenon whose presence is not taken for granted by the public even by the literary society itself. This is because the fans fiction is a work of imagination of a fan to his idol so to be considered as work for a dreamer and not qualified. Besides the original fan fiction are often found on the cyber but now has started to spread in the print media and it is considered to be in violation of the laws on copyright. This research was qualitative research is research that intends to understand and explain the discourse of fan fiction and the impact on the recognition of the position of fans fiction in Indonesian literature. The subjects were www.fansfiction.net and print media which Araska publisher that publishes fans fiction which is then passed in the bookstores. Data collected by engineering literature, observation, and interviews. The analysis process is performed by applying the method of excavation to determine the dominant discourse and the discourse of the marginalized and the impact of any such discourses. The results showed the first public discourse, or the dominant discourse about fans fiction is a literary work that was created inspired by his idol so it is considered as a work that is not creative. Second, another discourse that had been hidden or marginalized is a fan fiction as an alternative in the work and as a way to hone their writing skills and imagination in creating literary works. Third, the impact on the recognition of the position of fans fiction in Indonesian literature is with over time where fans fiction have started to be accepted by the community as one of the literary genre and become a medium of learning for the creators of literary works.
