UPAYA PEMANTAUAN NYAMUK Aedes aegypti DENGAN PEMASANGAN OVITRAP DI DESA GONILAN KARTASURA SUKOHARJO

Abstract

The aim of this project was to observe the existence of Ades aegypti mosquitos by setting ovitraps at several sites around houses in the village of Gonilan. The observation revealed that the ovitrap index in each dusun covered, i.e. Dusun Gonilan, Dusun Tuwak, and Dusun Keduren, were 39.1%, 29,5%, and 16,4% respectively, and the free-from-larvae number were 50,0%, 67,9%, and 69,2% respectively. The free-from-larvae number were far below the government expectation, which is 95%. Hence, efforts have to be done to control the dengue haemorhagic fever vector mosquitos with the active involvement of the local people.
