PELATIHAN PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN KADER POSYANDU DALAM PENANGGULANGAN DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE (DBD) DI KELURAHAN JOYOTAKAN KECAMATAN SERENGAN SURAKARTA

Abstract

The problem was DHF which has a significant corellation with problem caused by societys attitude. The general aim of this public service was to improve the skills and knowledge’s of the cadres of integrated service center (ISC) how to prevent DHF. There is a great hope that this skills and knowledge can be disseminated in society so that DHF case can be prevent as soon as posible. The target of this public service was the health cadres as may as 30 cadres representing each ISC existing in Joyontakan. The aims were achieved by giving speech and anwering questions for the theories covering DHF in general caring the DHF patient simply, DHF prevention and extermination mainly which related with environment management, doing simulation for materials understanding and measuring methods, practice how to do mosquito LPM and “abatisasi”. The result of the post test showed that from 25 questions which were all the same as the questions given at the pretest. It was gotten an average score of knowledge which increased as many as 22,85. the minimum score increased to become 16 and maximum score increased 25 point. The knowledge categories were also different. They were the traineer who had good knowledge increased to become 93,3 %. The result Mosquito Larva Periodic Monitoring (MLPM) activities showed that 60 % houses samples which were monitored indicated positive signs to have aedes segypty larva. With the result that neccesary to increase their knowledge about DHF extermination though the traineer joining this training program. It is also important to form a committee to monitor the existance of mosquito lank periodically. The committee will monitor the larva in houses and give suggestion to do 3 M in preventing DHF.
