    Abstract
    Iodine Deficiencies Disorder (IDD) is one of the nutrition problem that based on knowledge, attitude, practice, value and trust about foods habit and preference to choice them. This nutrition baseline data reach trough the measurement of nutrition knowledge and salt management in household aimed to describe nutrition knowledge level and characteristic of salt management include everything about choice of salt on child at elementary school at Kiyaran I Subdistrict Cangkringan Sleman Regency. The result of this nutrition knowledge measurement show that 58 % children with very good knowledge and 42 % are lower grade. The result of salt management show the following items are amount of them choose branded salt 90 %, choose briket salt 78 %, choose salt with registration number 90 %, buy salt at foodshop 68 %, choose right plastic mug 52 %, saving in dry place 76 % and placing with closed mug 82 %.
