    Abstract
This research continues the previous study which was held in 2004. The result of research showed that north coastal area from Rembang to Jepara has changed-abrasion process- which causes a coastal decline. Among this areas, the coast of Kedung Jepara is the most seriously damage. It can be proved from the abrasion and intrusion of sea water to land direction. This research is carried out in order to decide the planning land use of coastal area. This research is survey research using regional analysis approach. This research studies the factors are atmosphere factor (wind), sediment material of coastal areas, oceanographically factors( wave, tidal, current), and human activity factor (considerate the quality of water sources in coastal area) From all factors which are predicted influence the process in surface of coastal area, scoring and classifying are carried out in order to obtain three areas of coastal use. They are preserved area, buffer area, and cultivated area. The results of study are: (1) based on the classification of the feature similarity of geomorphologic characteristics which contain of relief, lithology, and its process, the research area can be devide into three landforms. They are marine alluvial plain (AIM), marine alluvio-fluvio plain (AlMF), and fluvial volcanic plain (AlFV). (2) from the interaction measurement between natural physical factors (atmosphere, the process of earth's surface and oceanogrphy) and the result of activity( quality of water's surface) there are two land use of coastal area in the research area. They are buffer area and cultivated area. The buffer area are found in AIM and AlMF. Their distribution exist in the vallages of Tanggultlare, Bulakbaru, Panggung, Surodadi, Kalianyar, Karangaji and Kedungmalang. Cultivated areas exist in landform of AlFV which spread in the villages of Rau, Kerso, Menganti, Sukosono, Dongos, Bugel, Jondang, Wanusobo, Sowan Lor, Sowan Kidul, Karangaji dan Tedunan. (3) The comparative result between the planning map of landuse of coastal area and the use of recent land is found that most of suppottted area are used inappropriately from their land use. These areas have been used to embankment cultivation, fish as well as salt embankment. Even in AIM landform which faces to the sea there is no green belt (almost extinction) to preserve the attack of oceanographically power (wave, current, seaward breeze and landward wind). Besides, there is a tendency in the buffer area in landform of AlMF that the land use of embankment has reached rice cultivation areas. Thi.s condition is caused by the fact that the crop can only be harvested once a year, while embankment can be harversted on whole year. In cultivated area exists the lanform of AlFV which shows that there is appropriateness between the land use planning of coastal area and use of the recent land. Most of these areas are used to be wet and dry land cultivation, setlement and plantion.
