    Abstract
Teaching literature is very important to motivate the students’ interest to learn more. It is very challenging for teachers to deliver values of life through literary works such as poem, novel, song lysrics, film and the like. However, there are some obstacles to implement it. The obstacles can be from a robber and dissidents of literature teaching. They think that literature is not important and they mostly apply a memorizing strategy of title of a literary work, the writer, the character name so that it causes the literature to be explored only on its bones not Etno-pluralitas on its meat and vitamins. Teaching literature needs improving. It depends on the teachers’ creativity of how to deliver the literary material, such as Etno-individuality, Etno-locality, and Etno-globality. By doing so, teaching literature is intended to grow a humanist and skillful character, sense of love, appreciation of the students towards values of cultures of our ancestor’s legacy .
