    Abstract
    Abstract: This research is conducted based on the reality that teaching learning subject of Plan Analytic Geometry done by the lectures does not indicate the students development creativity. The aim of this study is to yield an appropriate model to that subject and to know the effect of that implementation. Subject of this study is third semester of Mathematics students of FKIP-UMS. Guiding observation and creativity test are used to collect the data. Descriptive qualitative is used to analyze the data. The results of the study are (1) Cooperative group discussion model can emerge new analogy and learning orientation on thinking ability and (2) the effect of this implementation can increase creative thinking and students achievement. Then the suggestions are as follows: (1) the head of the department supports the effort of increasing creative thinking, (2) the lectures are good at designing the model and its implementation, and (3) it is needed other study on learning affectivity of cooperative group investigation in different subjects.
