    Abstract
Pabelan village, Sub-district of Kartosuro, experiencing drought when the dry season comes. One of the solutions that can be relied upon to address drought disaster this is by finding a source of groundwater. The purpose of this research is to detect the existence of groundwater in the area of research using the method geolistrik. Research methods used in this research is a survey method. A tool used to identify the presence of groundwater, the situation is by Geolistrik NANIURA NRD 500 HF. Measurement methods in field using the method of configuration of Schlumberger. Analysis of the measurement results field using Rusty software. The results obtained from this study include (a) based on the results of the measurements obtained by geolistrik that areas with potential ground water which is nice exists in the location of the measurement point 3 (Pabelan-03), where the value of the resistivity has the potential of water ranges from 22.61 Ωm-104.93 Ωm with depth between 6.51 m up to 33.11 m. Litologi tufaan sand and rocks in the form of sandy soil, so that it can be referred to as a carrier free aquifer rocks , and (b) related to the planning of the clean water network, then the researchers recommend drilling ground water against the location of point 3. This is due to a somewhat shallow at a depth of, namely that there is already a layer of m 6.51 aquifers.
