    Abstract
    School/boarding school has an important role to instill healthy hygiene practices on children, because children spend more time in their daily life at school or boarding school. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of health promotion and behavior of clean and healthy, well -balanced nutrition in boarding school. This research was analytic survey with cross sectional design. The population in this study were all citizens of the boarding school, that leaders, teachers, caregivers boarding school and students from one boarding school located in District Mranggen Demak. The sample size for the sample group leader of the boarding school, boarding school teachers and caregivers was 30 people, while a sample size for the boarding school students was 30 students. Sampling technique using the " Simple Random Sampling ". Statistical analysis used was descriptive and analytical analysis, using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the research were : 1). Their policies and efforts in school/boarding school to promote healthy, judging from the support of caretakers boarding school who is also the Chairman of the School of MTS during the implementation of activities and their health posters such as smoking bans and regulations in the bathroom and kulah. 2). Knowledge about clean and healthy living behaviors and student knowledge about balanced nutrition in school/boarding increases seen from the enthusiasm of the participants and asked questions during the ongoing counseling as well as pre and post test.3). The increasing practice proper hand washing at school students and boarding school students after the demonstration of proper hand washing and their application by the school students.
