Mathematics such as the assumption most people as a difficult lesson. This assumption
is not entirely wrong because the average NEM value of elementary and middle school
math is almost always located below the average value of the other lessons. The
abstract nature of mathematics became the main obstacle to learning, especially for
students who are still in the development of concrete or semi-concrete thinking. The
situation is exacerbated by the use of methods which are still focused on the teacher
(teacher center), not focused on students (child center) so that less activate students.
Such conditions often found in schools both public and private. A reality that even
when this has been attempted to improve the professionalism of teachers through
workshops or upgrading, but the results can not be perceived by the public. Lesson
study that is currently being developed in many universities believed to be able to
increase the professionalism of teachers. Socialization and simulation results Leson
Study conducted on January 13, 2010 against Elementary School teachers Gentan by
the Development Team of Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) and Lesson Study-
UMS concluded that: (1) The teachers were very enthusiastic and active during the
socialization and stimulation, (2) The teachers want to know more about the RME
and Lesson Study, (3) is hoping for a follow up such training so that teachers can
implement lesson study in class, and (4) most teachers believe: by applying the
approach RME through Lesson Study will help improve students’ understanding of
math that the edges will help improve academic achievement.

Socialization purposes, namely (1) socialization that participants are able to
understand and master the learning literature a gender perspective in terms of
curriculum, teaching materials, and learning strategies in the classroom and (2)
conducted a follow-up of this activity in the form of training activities, learning
materials utilization literature a gender perspective. Socialization is given to high
school teachers and vocational as Surakarta. The method adopted in this training
include: seminars, frequently asked questions, and discussion. Socialization lasted
one day with the number of participants 19 persons. Evaluation of this activity is
done in the process. During the training activities the participants enthusiastic,
passionate, active and responsive. Through this socialization of teachers get the
necessary materials related strategies, methods and teaching materials literature a
gender perspective. The teachers are motivated to understand gender issues in a
comprehensive manner. Insights teachers to manage learning an enjoyable literary
gender perspective in the classroom increases. It is because any discussion of solutions
of the constraints experienced by teachers in teaching literature a gender perspective.

These community service activities program is a complete infrastructure of
teaching and learning activities like computer device, gives additional knowledge
and skills for teachers and students in computer field and use of simple application
programs so they can complete task or job use computer facilities and be motivated
to always follow the developments and advances in information technology, and
encourage other parties to participate to provide assistance for other physical facilities.
The problem faced by Islamic Elementary School Muhammadiyah and Islamic
Elementary School Sraten Al Islam 2 Ngesrep Ngemplak Boyolali (Madrasah
Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Sraten and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Islam 2 Ngesrep
Ngemplak Boyolali ) is the absence of computers as a learning tool so that needs help
and assistance are in the form of some form of computer training. Because of the
availability of a number of computers that are not used in the Department of
Architecture, Digital Architecture Laboratory FT-UMS and the availability of skilled
human resource in the field of computers and training programs, so community service
activities be held is in the form of computer assistance and training to Islamic
Elementary School (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah ) teachers and students. Results of the
Community Service activity is the availability of facilities or learning tool are in the
form of computers and knowledge from training activities so its help teachers and
students to know, study simple application program, and continue to develop skills
independently through these facilities.

This training has several goals, namely to open insights, and observers of
Indonesian teachers about gender equality in everyday life, giving insight to analyze
the value of inequality/ gender equality, and compile teaching materials Indonesian
perspective of gender equality. Implementation of this training method is applied in
two stages: the preparation stage and implementation stage. Preparation stage
includes internal coordination (: preparatory concepts, preparation of materials) and
the coordination of external (: contacting a speaker, contact the PDM Surakarta,
Surakarta Dikspora contacted, and invited the school). Implementation stage is the
stage of core training employed by interactive lectures, questions and answers, and
tutorials. Training lasted for one day and 13 participants attended junior secondary
school teachers. Based on analysis of implementation of teacher understand the
preparation of teaching materials Indonesian gender perspective. This is evident from
the responses of the material, examples, and instructional materials containing ilutrasi
gender inequality.
