The type of this research is quasi experiment with pre-test and post-test control group
design. The observed criterion variable in this research are (1) the result of mathematic learning,
(1) the motivation of mathematic learning. The independent variable is the learning model application
that are grouped into two: the application of NHT and conventional method. The population are all
the students of class V SD at Banyumanik Semarang 2008/2009. The sample is Class VA and B SD
Ngesrep 01/02 Sumurboto, banyumanik Semarang. The aims of this study are to know the effect of
the application of NHT learning model toward the result of mathematic learning with the topic oval
numeric and the effect on the motivation of learning oval numeric. The results of this study are there
are positive significance of the application of NHT toward the mathematic learning achievement
and also positive motivation in learning mathematics.

This research will improve Accounting Education Department’s student self learning for
Tax Accounting lesson by problem based learning method. The classroom action research involved
IIIa class Accounting Education Department in the year 2007/2008 who study Tax Accounting (36
students). Flow method design research from Kemmis and Taggart by cycle model. Data collection
by observation and interview technique. Analysis procedure by using interactive analysis model
from Milles & Huberman. Based on the result in reflection-evaluation, can be concluded that: 1) by
using the constructive procedure of problem based learning method the self learning of Accounting
Education Department’s student for Tax Accounting lesson ; 2) teacher as facilitator, motivator, and
learning source not as dictator of learning; 3) class situation become more active-creative; 4)
student can be active in learning, able to do scheduled learning, have a high self confident, be critic
in learning and have self inforcement. This method will be more effective to improve students self
learning if they are explained about problem based learning, case study task to be solved in class,
and reflection-evaluation in the end of session must be provided by the teacher

This research is aimed at finding out the level of writing ability of the students at English
Study Program FKIP- UNRI by using Cooperative Learning Method. The samples of the research
were all of the first year students that joined Writing IC. The procedure of the research were administered
through (a) pre-test; (b) teaching and learning process by using Cooperative Learning Method; and
(c) post-test. Pre-test and post-test were given in order to know the level of their writing ability. Data
analysis was conducted by comparing the scores of pre-test and post-test. Data calculation concluded
that with df = 78 – 1 = 77, it was found that r table with significant level 5% = 2.64; and 1% = 1.99
which were smaller than to = 3.005. As a result, null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and alternative
hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. In conclusion, Cooperative Learning Method played a significant role
in increasing the writing ability of students of English Study Program FKIP UNRI
