Capital market is one of today’s economic instrument that has developed rapidly.
One way to measure the performance of capital market is a stock index. Some factors
can affect the stock index, such as domestic interest rates, foreign exchange rates,
international economic conditions, the country’s economic cycle, inflation rates, tax
regulations, the amount of money in circulation.The purpose of this study was to
analyze the effect of Interest Rates, Inflations, Exchange Rate of Rupiah, Money
Supply, Dow Jones Index variable for the volatility of IHSG in BEI (Bursa Efek
Indonesia). The method used multiple linier regression analysis. After that, we must
do a classical assumption test in order to make sure that the regression equation is
BLUE (Best, Linear, Unbiased, Estimator). In addition, to assess the goodness of fit
from a model, we use coefficient of determination test, F test and t test. The data for
this research were a monthly data from 2007 – 2010 for each variable. The results of
this study indicate that the SBI Interest Rates, and Rupiah Exchange rate were
negatively affected by IHSG. While the variables inflations, money supply and Dow
Jones Indeks had a positive effect on IHSG. For the F test, that’s all the independent
variable affected the IHSG.

When a Third World country develop tourism with the characterized capitalist
ads, it becomes enmeshed in a global system neoliberalism. The international tourism
industry is a product of metropolitan capitalist enterprise. The superior
entrepreneurial skills, resources, and commercial power of metropolitan companies
ads enables them to dominate many Third World tourist destinations. This paper
outlines the dynamics of this process, particularly in the context of political economy
in Indonesia tourism ads.

The purposes of this research are to : (1) analyze officer’s organizational
commitment at Bakorwil II of Surakarta, (2) analyze the influence of career related
factors such as career planning, career development programs, career strategy,
promotion prospects, and career satisfaction on organizational commitment at
Bakorwil II of Surakarta, (3) analyze the most dominant variable that influence
organizational commitment. The data of this research were collected from all the
employees of Bakorwil II of Surakarta. A sample of 52 respondents was taken. There
are 49 questionnaries completed and outlier data is 6 respondents so the sample amount
that can be analyzed is 43 respondents. Data collected through this research were
evaluated by Regression Linear Analysis. The results of regression analysis revealed
that : (1) Officer’s Bakorwil II of Surakarta feel commitment to organization they
work, (2) career planning is a significant positive predictor of officer’s organizational
commitment, (3) career development programs is a negative predictor of officer’s
organizational commitment but not significant, (4) career strategy is a significant
positive predictor of officer’s organizational commitment, (5) promotion prospects is
a significant positive predictor of officer’s organizational commitment, (6) career
satisfaction is a significant positive predictor of officer’s organizational commitment,
(7) career strategy is dominant predictor of officer’s organizational commitment at
Bakorwil II of Surakarta. The implication of this research suggests that officers must
increase their individual career effort or increase their career strategy; promotions
at Bakorwil II of Surakarta are handled fairly; officers are involved in giving all
chances for promotion; the institution pay attention to things that make officers feel
satisfied such as progress of career and development of officer’s skill because all of
that efforts can increase officer’s organizational commitment.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to analyze the effect of job rotation and compensation to the
employee performance of the Secretariat of the Regional Government of Surakarta
City employees, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This study examined
the relationship between the study variables by using indicators of competence and
work experience for the variable job rotation , an indicator of financial compensation
and non-financial compensation for variable compensation, satisfaction indicators
of intrinsic and extrinsic satisfaction for Job Satisfaction variable, an indicator of
work performance, responsibility and cooperation to Employee Performance variables.
The data was collected through questionnaires to 127 respondents, and then analyzed
by regression analysis, analysis of intervening variables and hypothesis testing through
the F-test, t test and coefficient of determination.
The results indicate a positive effect of job rotation and compensation as partial
to the job satisfaction and a positive effect of job rotation and compensation to the
performance of employees with job satisfaction as an intervening variable.
