The acute toxicity testing have been conducted in the male and female rats SD strain of rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum L.) fruit peel extract. The testing had been done by providing with a dose ranked as follows: the first dose; 0 mg / kgBW, dose II; 400 mg / kgBW, dose III; 1,400 mg / kgBW, IV doses; 4,900 mg / kgBW, and the dosage of V; 17,150 mg / kgBW for 14 days. Then it had been observed clinical symptoms that happened, changed in body weight per week and defect on vital organs, namely: the liver, kidneys, stomach, intestines, spleen, heart and lungs. The results of this study was concluded that the highest dose of up to 17,150 mg / kgBW of the extract, safety and proved to be not toxic to the female and male rats SD strain.

The development of a variety of products processed from starchy vegetables needed to be trained and applied for the farmers of vegetables to help cope with the price of vegetables was very cheap and increased its economic value. This activity aimed to develop products processed from starchy vegetables in the village of Sindon-Ngemplak-Boyolali, which was expected to increase economic value, both in terms of revenues, new business development and the welfare of farmers. The partner of community development activities were ibu-ibu PKK , pengajian Aisyah and kelompok wanita tani (KWT) "Mawar" in the Sindon village. The method was used in this activity included the application of science and technology on the manufacture of starchy vegetables, assisting the production of a variety of processed starchy vegetables namely wet noodles, instant noodles, and biscuits were made from vegetable starch. Results and implications that have been obtained from this activity all women group partners have been able to master the skills to cultivate vegetable flour into wet noodle products, instant noodles and biscuits. However, the constraints and problems still exist was the ability to develop the marketing of starchy vegetables products from the group of women partners is still very low.

IPTEKDA LIPI XVIII activities in 2015 was intended to improve the quality and capacity of production in SMEs CV. Arba'in Jaya Mandiri Surakarta, through the introduction of some technology included medicinal herb powder mixer machines, mixer machines for honey, and semi-manual capsule filling. While in the second phase, will be introduced vacuum evaporator machine and application software for the development marketing online of herbal medicinal and honey products Arba'in. The results had been achieved in the first phase of IPTEKDA LIPI 2015, ie an increased in productivity and efficiency of production procesing as well as improving the quality of herbal medicine production. The mixing process of herbal ingredients were more efficient with the capacity of mixing up to 25 kg / process, from only 3-5 kg / process before. The process of mixing herbs-based honey, had showed a more homogeneous mixing and faster. Through the introduction and applications of technology production procesing, it was hoped will provide multifier effect for SMEs, employment, supplier partners and the communities.
