Walukow, Auldry F.
The Sentani Lake is located in Jayapura regency which at covered east Sentani, Sentani, and West
Sentani districts. The Sentani Lake has problems. The first problem is high of erosion number 94,52
ton/ha/year that the value higher than value of erosi on tolerance number 25 ton/ha/year. Second
problem is chemical pollution indicated by high concentration Cu (0,0201- 0,1081 mg/L) and Zn (0,21
- 0,36 mg/L) Those concentration are exceeds water quality standard that approve by government in PP
82 Tahun 2001 about management water quality and water pollution control. There for is needed
research and management for sustainable of Sentani Lake. The aims of this research are 1) to analyze
about the pollution load Sentani Lake, and 2) to analyze the assimilation capacity Sentani Lake aquaculture.
The research method are survey and experiment. Results from a research showed that the load of
pollution from river is obtained as follow (each in ton/month) is Pospat (ranges between 0,57 to 4,74).
The assimilation capacity from lake is obtained as follow (in ton.month) is Pospat (1,40). The load of
pollution are uper of the assimilation capacity.

ANALISIS PERUBAHAN GARIS PANTAI MENGGUNAKAN SIG SERTA DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP KEHIDUPAN MASYARAKAT DI SEKITAR MUARA SUNGAI REJOSO KABUPATEN PASURUAN
Muryani, Chatarina
This research was conducted due to the rapid process of sedimentation around Rejoso estuary allegedly
causes the land use and shorelines changes in the area. This research aims to ascertain (a) the changes in
landuse of research areas (years 1981 – 2009), (b) the changes of shorelines (year 2009 – 2010), and
(c) the impacts of shorelines changes towards social life communities. Materials used in the research were
aerial photographs in black and white panchromatic (year 1981; scale: 1: 50.000), RBI Map of Rejoso
Sheets (year 2000; scale: 1: 25.000) and IKONOS image (year 2005 completed with field survey (year
2009). The steps of the research include (1) Cutting of aerial photographs, maps and images of the
selected area, (2) radiometric and geometric correction, (3) digitization of shorelines and boundaries of
land use, (4) field surveys to determine new boundaries which apply the GPS, (5) maps improvement
based on the field survey, (6) maps overlay to analyze the changes in land use and in shorelines. Furthermore,
the results of the research indicate (a) changes of land use (years 1981- 2009) including sea –
fishpond (172.8 ha), sea – mangrove forest (67.0 ha), sea – bare land (coast) 51.4 ha, mangrove forest
– fishpond (76.7 ha), fishpond – settlement (10.3 ha) , fishpond – rice field (7.2 ha), fishpond –
mangrove forest (2.9 ha), rice field – fishpond (7.1 ha) and rice field – settlement (4.8), (b) changes in
shorelines morphology, such as the changes in the estuary from concave to convex, shorelines advancing
towards the sea approximately 1 km, the expansion of research area which is 141.9 ha and between
years 1981 to 2000 approximately 133 ha, (c) the extension of the coastal area encouraging people to
make new fishponds by converting the mangrove forests. Therefore, The Government of Pasuruan regency
is recommended to strengthen the monitoring process towards spatial pattern of the coastal areas.

TENAGA KERJA INDONESIA DI MALAYSIA (Studi Kasus TKW Asal Jawa Tengah dengan Pendekatan Fenomenologi) The Indonesian Workers in Malaysia
Subadi, Tjipto
This study aims to examine (1) the main cause of the female workers (FWs) in Malaysia from Central
Java, Indonesia tortured by their employers, (2) the responsibility of the BP3TKI as an agency sending
FWs if there is a problem of the FWs, (3) the steps the Indonesian and Malaysian government take to
cope with the case of the Indonesian Labors (ILs) tortured by their employers, and (4) the model of
cooperation for sending ILs to Malaysia professionally. The study used a phenomenology qualitative
approach with a social paradigm definition of micro analysis. The subjects were the FWs in Malaysia
tortured by their employers. The data gathering used an observation, documentation and interview method.
The data analysis employed a method of first order understanding and second order understanding with
an interactive model, including data reduction, data display and conclusion/verification. The findings
show that (1) the main cause of torturing against the FWs is a miscommunication, low competency,
cultural difference, feudalism behavior, bad institutional structure and difference in Act. (2) The
responsibilities of the BP3TKI are legitimate and non-legitimate. (3) The steps the Indonesian government
takes are (i) providing a guarantee to employers who do not have any problem for employing the Indonesian
workers, (ii) establishing a Cooperation Agency for Problem Solving, (iii) giving one-day or one-week
furlough to the FWs, (iv) if there is no furlough, an employer will give any compensation to them, (v) all
the problems of the FWs must be resoled by the Indonesian and Malaysian Cooperation Association,
and (vi) revising the Memo of Understanding (MoU) of the Labor Force. (4) The model of cooperation
for sending the WFs to Malaysia is revising and completing the MoU, containing, among others, high
wage, furlough, passport holders by (LIs), task force establishment, Labor Force Act, equal-working
appointment, a great priority of human values and anti-slavery, discrimination, gender and anti-trade of
human.

This research of prime mover region in Joglosemar consists of 5 regencies and cities in DIY province
and 16 regencies and cities in Central Java Province. Those twenty-one regencies are split into four
clusters, the Jogja Cluster, Solo Cluster, Semarang Cluster and Corridor Cluster. The objective of this
research is to know regional economic performance by looking at the regional division using Klassen’s
typology. Main method of this research is case study, the data that was used are secondary data for 10
years in the form of the Gross Regional Domestic Product at Constant Prices 2000, Economic sectors,
PDRB per capita and Population Data which was acquired from Kantor Badan Pusat Statistik (The
Central Statistical Agency) and BAPPEDA (Regional Planning Board) DIY and Central Java.
Data processing techniques are qualitative, descriptive and quantitative analysis. The quantitative
technique is Klassen’s typology to know the performance of regional economy, And the qualitative
techniques are used to know the true meaning behind the data by a deep interview. According to
Klassen’s typology analysis, there are 4 spatial classes of regional economy; namely high growth and
high income, high income but low growth, high growth but low income, and low growth and low income.
So that the regional function as a prime mover can give a positive effect towards the development of
surrounding area.
