dc.description.abstract | his research aims to examine the impact of board size and the presence of
women in high management positions in connection with corporate risk taking. All
samples have been taken from 230 public companies of the Indonesia Stock Exchange,
between the years of 2012 and 2016. Moreover, the analysis was conducted by using
multiple regression. The results reveal that both female commissioners and directors
have had significant impact on corporate risk taking. Female commissioners have had a
negative impact on corporate risk taking, whereas female directors have displayed a
positive one. In other findings, this research unearthed that commissioner size has had
a negative impact on corporate risk taking, while director size has had no significant
