dc.description.abstractPre school education institution is the initial formal education atmosphere recognized by children. Based on this fact, teacher has an important role as an idol and good model for children. Messages delivered by teachers give great impacts toward the development of a child. In order that the messages can be understood well by children, the method of communication should be conducted effectively. This activity aims at increasing the teachers’ knowledge about doing effective communication as well as their skill in doing it. Besides, it also increases the teachers’ understanding towards the unique characteristics of every pre school student as the communication target. The method used here are speech, role play, and group discussion. The evaluation result shows that this activity is very useful to increase the teachers’ perception and their understanding about the effective communication towards pre school students and teachers in Gatak district.en_US
