dc.description.abstract | The goal of the this research was to plan and to apply Computer Assisted Contextual
Learning and Teching model for Kalkulus I course to enhance the quality of learning and teaching
processes. The research was conducted at the Study Program of Mathematics, the Faculty of Teacher
Training, the University of Sebelas Maret on the year 2004/2005. There was 36 students participated
in the course. The research was done using action research wich consist of 3 cycles, in wich for
each cycle consist of 4 steps, that were : (a) planning, (b) acting, (c) observation and interpretation
and (d) analysis and reflection for the next plan. In the course of learning and teaching process,
from the first cycle until the last cycle, the quality of learning and teaching process in the class have
been improved. The indicators were for example, a multiple interaction appeared at the discussion
group of students. The students motivation to learn Kalkulus was also very high, wich was indicated
by student activity for doing course task. From students achievement point of view, students achievement
was better than student achievement in the last year. Based on the research finding above, it
was concluded that using Assisted Contextual Learning and Teching model can improve the quality
of learning and teaching processes in Kalkulus I course. | en_US |
