dc.description.abstract | The aims of this research are : (i) knowing the influence of using cooperatif learning STAD
type to problem solving ability of the SMK Private’s student (Technique) in Surakarta at subchapter
The Comparisons of Trigonometri, (ii) knowing the influence of motivation learning to problem
solving ability of the SMK Private’s student (Technique ) in Surakarta at subchapter The Comparisons
of Trigonometri, (iii) knowing the interaction of using the teaching method and motivation
learning to problem solving ability of the SMK Private’s student (Technique ) in Surakarta at The
Comparisons of Trigonometri topics. This research is a quasi experimental research. From the
population, all SMK Private’ students in Surakarta is taken randomized 24 studens as a sample. By
random sampling , we will choose at later 2 categories class groups for the controll class and
experiment class. The technique to take datas are document method ( UAN of Mathematics) for the
matching test, test for the problem solving ability on The Comparison of Trigonometri topics and
anquette for motivation data . The data analysis technique is used two way analysis of variance 2X
3 with different cells. The result of this research are: (i) Both of the methods (the cooperative
learning STAD type and conventional method ) give different influences to problem solving abilities’s
students on the comparison of trigonometri (( α= 0.05 ) > ( p = 0.032) ), (ii) the grade of the
student motivation learning to mathematics gives a different infuence to problem solving ability at
the comparison of trigonometri topics.( ( 0.007 = p) < ( = 0.05 )
)., (iii) there is no interaction among
the methods of learning and the motivation of learning at The Comparisons of Trigonometri topics
