    Abstract
Life expectation rate of Indonesian older people increases. It is one the succes regarding the health care system represented by the establishment of integrated service site (POSYANDU) for elderly as a health service chamber targeted to older people, including one in Sruni (POSYANDU Lansia Sruni). Based on a survey carried out in the beginning of March 2004, the amount of older people in Sruni are 40 people. The POSYANDU in this village doesn’t have an organization structure. It is run by only one activist. The programmes run in this institution include such service like: body weighing, arterial pulse check, blood tension check, free medical treatment and religious elucidation. At the time of the survey, some symptoms related to physical health were found including: fatigue, muscle pain, unfit body, etc. They resulted in the decrease of the older people’s daily activities and health quality. The objectives of this project were to deliver elucidation as a mental support to the elderly in order to make their elderly life healthy and happy as well and to give them a training on mild physical exercises, i.e. gymnastics for elderly, to keep them fit. The targets of the elucidation and physical exercise training were older people who attended POSYANDU Lansia in Sruni Village. The form of the activities were religious elucidations and physical exercises carried out locally in Sruni with intersectoral approach. The result of the programme were the decrease of the elderly’s physical symptom which caused improvement on their health in elderly life and addition on religious understanding which caused increase on their faith and belief in God.
