dc.description.abstract | Ada dua jenis coronavirus yang diketahui menyebabkan penyakit yang dapat menimbulkan gejala berat seperti Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) dan Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) adalah virus jenis baru yang belum pernah diidentifikasi sebelumnya pada manusia. Pada tanggal 31 Desember 2019, wabah penyakit pernapasan kemudian terbukti disebabkan oleh virus corona baru, yang secara resmi bernama Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Rekomendasi standar untuk mencegah penyebaran infeksi adalah melalui cuci tangan secara teratur, menerapkan etika batuk dan bersin, menghindari kontak secara langsung dengan ternak dan hewan liar serta menghindari kontak dekat dengan siapa pun yang menunjukkan gejala penyakit pernapasan seperti batuk dan bersin. Selain itu, menerapkan Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Infeksi (PPI) saat berada di fasilitas kesehatan terutama unit gawat darurat. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian literature review berupa case report melalui penelusuran situs jurnal terakreditasi seperti PubMed, Scientdirect dan Elsevier dengan kata kunci pneumonia COVID-19 dalam kurun waktu 2015-2020. Dalam menangani kasus COVID-19 setiap negara memiliki cara tersendiri yaitu terdiri dari pemeriksaan fisik, pemeriksaan laboratorium darah, pemeriksaan CT Scan dada, pemeriksaan tes swab, pemeriksaan tes urine, pemasangan oksigen, pemasangan ventilasi mekanik, Tindakan Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygention (ECMO), serta pemberian obat ceftriaxone, Azitromisin, Piramivir, iopinavir-Ritonavir, nafamostat dan globulin Imun Intravena (IVIG), masing-masing pasien berbeda berdasarkan riwayat sakit yang diderita. Setiap daerah maupun setiap negara memiliki cara tersendiri dalam menangani kasus COVID-19 dikarenakan sampai sekarang belum ada pengobatan ataupun vaksin yang pasti yang dapat mengobati kasus COVID-19 yang melanda di seluruh penjuru dunia. | id_ID |
