dc.description.abstractListening skill is the language modality that is used frequently. Students receive as much as 90% of their in-school information through listening to teachers and to one another. Given the importance, it is essential for language teachers to help students become effective listeners. The teachers, hence, should be able to adopt appropriate teaching techniques. On the basis of the reason, the topic of the public service is the strategies of teaching listening. The program was conducted once a week for three months. The result shows that the activity is effective if it is combined with interactive dialogue. However, because of the time, the interactive dialogue cannot be conducted.en_US
