PENGINDERAAN JAUH DAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFI SERTA APLIKASINYA DI BIDANG PENDIDIKAN DAN PEMBANGUNAN
Abstract
Remote Sensing and GIS growing in terms of technique and its applications,
including applications in geography education and development fields, including
resources, environment, regional development, natural resources and mitigation of
natural disasters. Satellite development in the more advanced developing countries,
including in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and India. America as a technological
superpower, has also launched a satellite that provides pixel size of details, .41 m, with
the name GeoEye-1. Indonesia has launched TUBSAT in the year 2007, in cooperation
with Germany and India. For the inventory, mapping and survey data about the
phenomenon of geography, natural resources, and natural disasters and supporting
information, the establishment of disaster databases and information systems necessary
for identification, detection, mapping, monitoring, analysis can be done well. Databases
and information systems can be used in various applications terasuk early forecasting
systems and policy makers (Early Warning and Decision Support Systems). In the case
of these applications, geographer skilled manpower is needed. For the purposes of
education, remote sensing and GIS can be utilized for detection, identification, mapping,
measurement, analysis of geographic objects, resources and environment, through its
derivative products (photomap, spasiomap, orthofoto, base maps, thematic maps, atlases,
digital terrain models , system information). Demonstration face of the earth for high
school education can take advantage of RS and GIS with the option-plihan varied
applications in compile. Various environmental studies, resource and disaster can be
done with remote sensing and GIS.
