    HUBUNGAN ANTARA TINGKAT PENDAPATAN KELUARGA DAN PENDIDIKAN IBU DENGAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF DI KECAMATAN JEBRES KOTAMADYA SURAKARTA

    Abstract
    One of causing energy protein malnutrition and growth faltering in infant is mothers had not exclusive breastfeeding to her babies and early supplement breast milk or MP-ASI giving. One of triggering poorly nutritional status in infant and childhood is decreasing of exclusive breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding produce optimally growth, increase immune system and fulfill the requirement of infant in 4-6 month. Cost family level, education level graduated, mother’s ASI knowledge and mother’s working status have contribution in exclusive breastfeeding. Recent study in public health center of Ngoresan sub district of Jebres Surakarta municipal showed 40 % exclusive breastfeeding covered that in under national target on 80 %. The objective of this study is to learn the description of relationship between cost family level and education level graduated with exclusive breastfeeding at public health center of Ngoresan sub district of Jebres Surakarta .This research was conducted using cross-sectional approach. The samples were mother who gave suck to their babies (4-11 month), total samples were 120 mothers. The research used Chi square analysis with program SPSS 10.0 to test the hypothesis. We were investigated that most of the mothers (60%) had not exclusive breastfeeding to her babies. Cost family level is above standard of poor (69,2%) and 60% of mothers education level graduate is senior high school. There is no correlation between cost family level and education level graduated with exclusive breastfeeding supplies at public health center of Ngoresan sub district of Jebres Surakarta. Beside that, knowing other factors that having effect on exclusive breastfeeding on previous studies, especially decreasing of exclusive breastfeeding, is necessary.
