    Abstract
    Construction method sometimes is neglected resource in a project of construction. In general the contractor conduct the thrift at the transportation cost added by materials wich tend to decrease the quality, in fact it could be avoided if there is an innovation in construction method. This matter requires the existence of a modification from an execution method by reviewing the design in order to maximize the performace of construction. So that development of a project construction can be executed effectively and efficiently. One of the innovation is Semi Up-down construction method, that is innovated by PT. PP (Persero) Branch IV West Java. Wich is the development of the Up-down method. Int this method, the sub structure and upper structure were constructed simultaneously with some modifications for several work, such as soil cutting, retaining wall and some other conditional work that could be modified for effective and efficiently. This method has been applied at the development of Building Center of Santo Borromeus Hospital Bandung, and resulted in cost effectiveness about 7 % for structural construction with 50 % time construction faster than conventional method. Structural construction cost was Rp. 12.043.356.867,00 and Rp. 11.171.640.502,00 for conventional and semi up-down method, respectively. Construction time with semi up-down method was about 1 year and could double with conventional method.
