MENGEMBANGKAN KARAKTER BANGSA BERDASARKAN KEARIFAN LOKAL

Abstract

Character is attribute that cling in every human, as somebody determinant to posed and comport, with influenced by situation, condition, and feelingly at heart somebody. School copes to dig and bequeath local wisdom in builds nation life. Found eight characters that applicable in study activity, that is: (1) love Allah and prophet; (2) love parents and teacher; (3) love fellow being; (4) love to be quality; (5) love own self; (6) love science and technology; (7) love environment; and (8) love nation and country. Character education stage covers: (1) trustworthiness; (2) responsibility; (3) respect; (4) fairness; (5) caring; and (6) citizenship. Local wisdom can be defined as synthesis culture that created by local actors through process that recurrent, through internalizes, and religion teachings interpretation and culture socializations in the form of norms and made guide in life everyday for society. Local wisdom can be used foundation build nation character, along not oppose against Pancasila values. Education is local wisdom maintenance tool in order to builds Indonesian character.
