dc.description.abstractLearning chemicals are still many know the extent of chemical concepts and not lead to an increase in higher-order thinking skills, so that students learn chemistry by rote, and less meaningful. At this time of free competition, the Indonesian nation must improve the quality of human resources (HR) in order to have high competitiveness. For that demands rapid development mindset of every individual; in order to win the competition and acknowledged. Related to the preparation of qualified human resources, the purpose of this study was to develop and implement a Learning Model Chemistry (MPK) integrated generic capabilities of science to improve the ability of students to think tinkat high. This study uses the approach of Research and Development. (R & D). Object is the course work was Basic Chemistry I, Basic Separation Analytical and Organic Chemistry I, which is the third material constant su-byeknya each other. In the early stages of this research, the study conducted to formulate a theoretical model of learning, generic skills indicators of science and higher level thinking skills that will be developed, followed by the establishment media and effective teaching materials to enhance the mastery of concepts and higher-order thinking skills of students. Assessment of naturalistic descriptive and exploratory MPK done through expert validation, empirical testing, revision, so the end result MPK composed integrated applicative final ready-making forgiveness applied to the data. The results showed that the generic skills MPKterintegrasi science that has been developed has been feasible; application integrated MPK generic capabilities of science to improve higher-order thinking skills to the level of student achievement was based on the price of N-gain after the test longeot tracked. Based on the findings of this study, suggested the need for follow-up penerapam MPK on chemistry learning more widely.en_US
