TASAWUF DI KALANGAN INTELEKTUAL MUHAMMADIYAH KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract

Muhammadiyah formally reject Sufism, because Sufism, according to Muhammadiyah, is often diverted into the congregation with the ritual practices that are very strict. Muhammadiyah does not recognize the existence of Tawash-shulan, Yasinan, Tahlilan or Manaqiban as in NU, it does not mean that the practices of Sufism and Dzikr are not done by Muhammadiyah members. Practices of Sufism can be accepted by them all as long as it integrated into individual practice, with the aim to improve the commendable morality. Muhammadiyah also strongly encourages its members to increase the sunnah prayers, dzikr and wird, put forward sincere attitude and in its movement. Until nosuch attitudes still run by Muhammadiyah leaders and citizens.
