dc.description.abstractPenelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa fraksi petroleum eter ekstrak etanolik tanaman ceplukan (Physallis angulata L). mempunyai efek sitotoksik terhadap sel HeLa dan mampu menghambat proliferasi sel HeLa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mekanisme antiproliferasi fraksi petroleum eter ekstrak etanolik tanaman ceplukan (Physallis angulata L) terhadap sel HeLa. Pengamatan apoptosis pada sel HeLa akibat perlakuan dengan fraksi petroleum eter dilakukan dengan pengecatan doublestainning. Ekspresi protein pemacu apoptosis (p53 dan Bax) dilakukan dengan immunositokimia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fraksi petroleum eter ekstrak etanolik tanaman ceplukan (Physallis angulata L). dapat memacu terjadinya apoptosis pada sel HeLa. Ekspresi protein p53 dan Bax pada sel HeLa meningkat setelah perlakuan dengan fraksi petroleum eter.en_US
