dc.description.abstractParadigma desain alat cetak pelat dengan teknik sheet metal forming saat ini mengikuti pola konvensional bahwa untuk mencapai target bentuk pelat yang di press, maka alat cetak mengikuti pola geometri bentuk pelat yang direncanakan. Namun demikian selama pelat yang digunakan dari bahan logam yang secara alamiah mempunyai sifat elastik, maka hasil cetakan press setelah dilepas dari alat cetak tidak akan sesuai dengan target karena selalu terjadi distorsi geometri akibat springback, yaitu kecenderungan kembali kebentuk semula mengikuti karasteristik sifat elastik bahan. Penelitian ini akan fokus pada pemberian kemampuan pada algoritma desain optimasi surface alat cetak yang tidak berdasarkan target geometri, tetapi akan menghasilkan hasil cetakan yang akurat sesuai target. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya suatu algoritma yang memungkinkan melakukan koreksi surface agar menghasilkan hasil cetakan yang sesuai dengan target desain walaupun springback terjadi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mensimulasikan proses stamping dengan program ABAQUS 6.5-1, simulasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan empat model yang berbeda, sehingga didapatkan koordinat masing-masing model saat forming dan springback pada blank, koordinat blank dapat diketahui dari nodal atau elemen pada blank, sehingga dapat diketahui besarnya nilai springback, yang kemudian akan digunakan sebagai nilai yang digunakan untuk memodifikasi bentuk atau geometri die atau punch yang lama menjadi bentuk die dan punch yang baru, sehingga setelah terjadi springback target sesuai yang diinginkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa simulasi pada setiap model terjadi springback yang berbeda-beda sesuai dengan kondisi permukaan dari die atau punch. Springback dapat diatasi dengan memodifikasi bentuk die atau punch yang lama menjadi bentuk die dan punch yang baru dengan memanfaatkan informasi springback. Transformasi nodal atau elemen adalah suatu metode untuk mendapatkan permukaan die atau punch yang baru, hal ini merupakan aplikasi algoritma dari mesh generation.en_US
