    Abstract
    Diabetes Mellitus (DM) and Hypertension are two degeneratif diseases that have strong correlation. The major problem in DM is that more than 50 % patients do not know the diseases and complications. Various research showed that existence of tendency improvement in incident and preva- lence of DM were especially DM type II and complicated by hypertension. The aim of this research was to know the characteristics differences between DM type II patients with hypertension complication and without hypertension complication. Method of this study was observational with crossectional approach. The research conducted in 5 months. Respondents of this research were 20 Diabetes Melitus type II patients according to criterion. Collecting data was conducted by measuring the upper arm circumference to find out the nutritional status. While Hb level, blood pressure and rate of sugar obtained by observation in medical record. Independent Sample t Test and Mann Whitney Test were used to process the data. The results of this research were 80% of respondents were 40 years old or older and most respondents are female. More than half of respondents (55 %) were under nutrition and 85 % of respondents had abnormal Hb blood level. There was significant differences between age and anthropometric nutritional status and there was not any significant differences between gender and biochemically nutritional status.
