PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PENDIDIKAN GIZI DENGAN MEDIA LEAFLET TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN TENTANG SERAT MAKANAN (DIETARY FIBERPADA REMAJA DI SMK DWIJA DHARMA BOYOLALI
Abstract
Tendency of adolescents to follow modern eating habit and lifestyle will make imbalance of
food consumption. It can be occured because of less of knowledge and improper behavior in selecting
daily food. Preliminary survey in SMK Dwija Dharma Boyolali showed that 75% of adolescents have
inadequate knowledge on dietary fiber and 85% of adolescent had fiber consumption less than their
daily fiber need per day. The objective of this research was to know the effect of nutrition education
using leaflet media on knowledge improvement about dietary fiber in adolescents. Media in this research
was printing media, which was leaflet. This research was quantitative
study.

of this research
was quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. Respondents of this research
were
31 adolescents. Data analysis using Paired-Sample T test. Result of this research showed that
most
of adolescents knowledge on dietary fiber before they got nutrition education were not good,
which
was 93.5%. After respondents got nutrition education, most of them had good knowledge, which
was
90.3%. The research conclude that there was significant effect of nutrient education using leaflet
media
on knowledge improvement about dietary fiber in adolescents at SMK Dwija Dharma Boyolali (pvalue
= 0.001).
