dc.description | English for Economics (EfE) is a handbook for the students of Eco- nomics. However, it is not intended to teach economics but as a means to develop their reading, writing and speaking skills. For achieving the three linguistic skills, it includes such materials as vocabularies and English grammars, embracing nouns, pronouns, adjectives and adverbs, verbs, tenses, sentences, adjective clauses, and -ing and -ed clauses.
EfE is based on the latest orientation of instruction called a student-centered approach. It means that a lecturer is considered as a facilitator of learning and not as an economics instructor. There is no algorithm for learning a language; therefore, what is required of the lecturer is not a skill in manipulation but an ability to mo- tivate, interact with and help his or her students. | en_US |
