    Abstract
Bamboo has high enough tensile strength. Constrain of use bamboo easily attacked by fungi, termites, beetles and needs protected weather effects as well as rain and hot sun. The purpose of the study was to determine effect of leaching of presservative CCB4 to tensile strength are two kinds bamboo. Testing is done with preserving petung and legi bamboo into CCB4 0,%, 5%, 10%, and 15% concentration. Each bamboo is cut into 3 part (base, middle, and end), each testing is done 3 time repetitions. Bamboo has been preserved placed in free air (leaching process) long 1, 6 and 12 moon, and then it is done tensile strength test toward parallel of the fibers. Study result show that average tensile strength of bamboo before leaching process is 218.78 MPa, after 6 and 12 moons leaching process is 207 MPa and 198,1 MPa. Decreases of average tensile strength are 5,1% and 9,2% for leaching time 6 and 12 moons, respectively. There are real differences between before and ater leaching time 6 and 12 moons.
