dc.description.abstract | A preliminary survey in Elementary School of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Kauman Surakarta shows the level of students’ knowledge on school-vended food safety remains low, which is of 55%. Therefore, it is necessary the appropriate strategies or methods to improve the students’ knowledge about the school-vended food safety. The objective of this research is to know the difference of students’ knowledge on school-vended food safety after illumination using different strategies. Type of this research is research and development and in the implementation, the type of the research is quasy experiment using pretest posttest control group. Sample in this research is of 70 samples on the base of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Statistical test used is Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney. Based on the results of Wilcoxon test, it shows that there is improvement of knowledge, where p = 0.000 meaning that there is an influence after intervention. Then to look for the difference of knowledge improvement among groups using Mann Whitney test, it has p = 0.000 meaning that there is a difference among groups, where discourse group with comic media has better knowledge improvement compared with discourse group with no comic media. | en_US |
