A structure built on expansive clay often are damage before reaching age plan. This is connected with soil shear strength paramater values, namely cohesion (c) and internal shear (φ). One of any methods to improve expansive clay is stabilization by lime. The soil compaction of clay stabiliza-tion-lime is often limited by quary condition, namely wet soil or rain that cause water contain more than optimum water contain of the soil based compaction test. The research is mean to know clay shear paramters that stabilizatiom with lie if it id compacted in wet. Method used is mixture original soil from Gading-Gunung Kidul and lime with percentage 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%and 10% of dry weigth of soil. Change of physical and mechanical characteristic of clay stabilization –lime can done by gradation test, special gravitational test, limited consitensi test, compaction test, and triaxial test UU. Triaxial test UU to obtain shear strength paramater, by 3 days optimumcondition and wate condition. Result of research show that the soil is CH by USCS, namely organic clay with midle plasticity, but the soil in A-7-6 group by AASHTO. Increasing lime contain with 3 days treatment will improve physical and mekanical cahracteristic of soil, among decreasing plasticity index and increasing shear strength paramater of soil. Shear strenght paramater of original soil and mixture clay-lime in wet compaction tend smaller than optimum compaction. Shear strength paramater of the original soil in wet compection has relative big difference with optimum conndition. But the value of the shear strength parameters on the wet side compaction has a relatively small difference with the optimum for compaction on soil mixture – lime.en_US
