Peat is an organic soil (> 75%) with a low bearing capacity and high compression. Soil Improvement me-thods adopted for peat soil such as preloading, sand column, wood matting has been applied to improve the physical and engineering properties. However, these methods were not environmentally friendly because it requires soil and wood materials in large quantities; there for, stabilization methods were developed. Stabi-lizing agent used a mixture of lime and fly ash with a percentage of 30% lime and 70 % fly ash with a sta-bilizing agent is 10 % of the unit weight of fibrous peat. Curing periods is done for 1, 10, 20 and 30 days to assess changes in parameter stabilized of fibrous peat. Laboratory test results indicate the water content and void ratio decreased while the unit weight, acidity and specific gravity increased compared to the initial conditions. Engineering parameters also showed better behavior which compression smaller and the be-aring capacity increased by 28 % than initial.en_US
