FUNGSI PENGUNGKAPAN, VARIASI KALIMAT, DAN MANFAAT ISI PESAN RAGAM BAHASA SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE (SMS) “KRIIING PEMILU” PADA SURAT KABAR SOLOPOS BULAN MARET 2004

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to describe the expression function, language variation, and the substance significance of SMS “Kriiing Pemilu.” The data-collecting method is documentation and the data-analyzing techniques include content analysis, distribution, referential and analogy. The outcome of the study is as follows: (1) the expression functions of language variation of SMS “Kriiing Pemilu” Solopos are instrumental, regulation, interaction, individual, and heuristic; (2) there are 27 sentence variations derived from 93 declarative variants, 31 interrogative variants), and 51 imperative variants); and (3) there are 12 kinds of substance significance, one of which is directed to political party elites.
