dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research is to study coconut fiber composite with copper powder, fiberglass and phenolic resin as matrice, due to wear and its hardness. The composite will be used for clutch, then compare with existing product material. The clutch material consist of coconut fiber composite with copper powder, fiberglass and phenolic resin as matrice. Clutch material pressed in a dies with 2 tonage, with 60 minutes pressing time and 800 C sintering temperature with 40 minute holding time.The resul were composite with composition coconut fiber 40 % weight, copper powder 20 %, fiberglass 20 % and phenolic resin 20% its hardness is 4,098 kg/mm2, dry wearness is 0,14 mm/hr and wet oil wearness is 0,19 mm/hr. The result is near with existing cluthc that hardness is 3,974 kg/mm2, dry wearness 0,15 mm/hr and wet wearness is 0,20 mm/hr.en_US
