Analisis Perilaku dan Strategi Pengrajin Tempe dalam Menghadapi Fluktuasi Harga Kedelai
Abstract
The price of soybean in Indonesia some times have soared uncontrollable. The producer
(especially micro enterprises) of tofu and tempe are no longerable to produce in that situation.
Consequently the amount of tofu and tempe are rarely in the market, meanwhile they are one of
the important needs of Indonesian people. In fact, the government adopted a policy of instant
such as remove import duties on imported soybeans. The policy was not strategic and could be
fatal, because the country would be flooded by soybean imports.While farmers were getting
ready to go out of business. With quantitative and qualitative approaches, this paper analyzed
regarding (1) the impact of fluctuations in the price of soybean on tempe producers empirically,
using descriptive analysis (2) critical assessment of government policies in addressing soybean
price fluctuations with macroeconomic approach. The method of this analysis was exploration
of literature. This analysis concluded that (1) there is a difference interms of the level of selling
temperelating to soybean price fluctuations. (2)The main factors that cause fluctuations
associated with the government's policies were : there were some weak role of government in
the process of agricultural intensification and expansion as well. It was also in the case of
agricultural import policies that are not pro-ordinary people.
