The aim of this study is to develop an instrument that can be used to measure students
wellbeing according to the context of student life. The instruments are arranged in behavioral
scale. Item in the scale is based on six aspects of the student’s wellbeing that were identified
through indigenous wellbeing framework in a previous study conducted by Karyani, et al
(2014). Psychometric methods used to determine the coefficient of content validity and the
coefficient of discrimination of items. A total of 11 psychologists and psychometric expert
provide an assessment of each item in the instrument to determine the content validity. Scales
also tested to 398 junior high school students (M: 210, F: 188), aged between 12-16 years to
determine the coefficient of determination of each item. The results of the study showed that the
students wellbeing scale that developed in this study consist of 20-item which have a high
coefficient of content validity and have a good discrimination coefficient. Distribution of item,
coefficients validity and coefficients discrimination of each item are described in detail in this
paper.
