Penguatan Karakter Siswa Pendidikan Dasar Muhammadiyah melalui Pensinergian Pendidikan Rumah dan Sekolah
Abstract
The general objective of this research is to find a model of strengthening character
education with informal approaches in the Elementary Education of Muhammadiyah in
Surakarta. The specific objective of this study is to identify the general picture forms of
character education in an environment which has been implemented in Surakarta
Muhammadiyah Elementary Education through an informal approach. The main
method developed in this research is descriptive-qualitative-reflective. Data collection
techniques are observation and interviews with teachers, and elementary school
students. The data were analyzed with technic of analysis models snowball Milles
Huberman. Indicator of this research is a mapping of the development of character
education through informal approach adopted in the Elementary Education of
Muhammadiyah in Surakarta. Mapping or research results obtained is the stdents and
teachers perception on character education. The results of this research can be applied
in the primary education environment, in accordance with the mission of Primary
Education Department whichs are organizing the service, cooperation and development
of education at elementary schoollevel.
