Abstract
This study aims to describe the interlanguage system to represent the present, past, and future
events. This is a qualitative study, using error analysis and interlanguage analysis framwork.
Data were collected through elicitation technique and analyzed using descriptive interpretative
techniques, based on the interlanguage theories developed by Selinker, Adjemian, SavilleTroike,
etc. The results of the study are as follows: (1) interlanguage system to represent
presnet event includes: (a) addition of BE in the Present Tense, (b) omission of BE as a
predicate, (c) omission of the BE in adjective clause (d) infinitive form in Phase Verbs, (e)
Negation Without Words Auxiliary Verbs Do/Does, (f) to infinitive is used in the Present Tense,
(g) Use of the Present Verb Without Bound morpheme {-s} on Third Single person, (h)
Construction Passive Sentences without BE; (2) interlanguage system to represent past events
includes: (a) Present Verb to express past events, (b) Present BE to express past events, (c)
Present participle to express past events, (d) Past Verb on the second verb phase verbs, (e)
Overgeneralization of Irregular Past Tense Verb, (e) Present Verb in the noun clause, (7) past
Verb in adverb of time; (3) Interlanguage system to represent the future event includes (a) Will
+ to V0, and (b) Will + Ving.
