Uji Potensi Hasil Produksi Pupuk Organik Granul Limbah Biogas terhadap Pertumbuhan Tanaman Tomat (Solanum lycopersicum)
Abstract
Problems encountered in the development of Indonesian agriculture is declining quality of
agricultural land. The problem is exacerbated by the use of inorganic fertilizer (chemical fertilizer),
needed a solution to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers, one of them with the production of
organic fertilizer from waste biogas potential tested against Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum).
Waste biogas from anaerobic biogas production, will generate solid and liquid wastes.
Furthermore, solid waste created granules, and tested its potential for growth of tomato plants. The
purpose of the study (1). Knowing the effectiveness of organic fertilizer granules on the growth of
tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum). 2). Determine the effect of various manure biogas waste in
the manufacture of organic fertilizers, on the growth of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum). The
method used experiments, and experimental design used completely randomized design (CRD) with
1 factor is the type of organic fertilizer granules with different animal manure (chicken, goat and
chicken + goat). Parameters measured were plant height, number of leaves, plant diameter, and
biomass results showed that organic fertilizer granules chicken manure, goats, chickens and goats
give a better effect on the growth of tomato plants compared to control, so effective as an
alternative to the use of chemical fertilizers, thus expected to have an impact on the environmentfriendly
agricultural healthy. Organic fertilizer granules goat manure most effective against the
growth of tomato plants, especially plant height. Chicken manure organic fertilizer granules give
the best effect on stem diameter growth and biomass plants.
