This study aims to determine: the distribution of landslide occurrence, the level of vulnerability
(susceptibility) landslide, and the factors that trigger landslides most dominant in the study
area. The method used in this research is the integration between the use of bivariate statistical
method with geographic information systems and validation in the field. Data were analyzed
using bivariate statistical approach to determine the weight of each variable to the existing
landslide. Model Black Box prepared by linking the data to the existing landslide slope
parameters, geology, soil, land use, and intensity of rainfall. The results showed that
Karanganyar have high landslide susceptibility: Very Low, Low, High, and Very High. High
level of vulnerability to landslides scattered in District Tawangmangu, Margoyoso, Matesih,
Karangpandan, and Jatiyoso. Factors most dominant trigger longsorlahan class condition
slope is 3; rock lithology volcanic breccia and tuff Lawu who have undergone intensive
weathering and truncated by the fault; latosols wide reddish brown soil; moor land use; and
rainfall of 3,000 to 3,500 mm, which lasted for a long time.
