Study of Developing The Myths of Pregnancy In BPS Zubaidah
Abstract
Pregnancy myths are stories concerning pregnancy and childbirth. The stories that according
to the trust actually happened, in a sense, the story and it is called sacred beliefs. Although
today some of the myths that previous pregnancies can not be answered rationally now can be
explained scientifically, but many people are still holding firm belief in the myth of pregnancy
whereas some of the myths of pregnancy can harm to the health of pregnant women and the
fetus at birth. Pregnant women who come check in BPS Zubaidah average of 25 people every
month. So it is required a study of pregnancy myths that developed in the community. This study
used a descriptive research design. Its population is pregnant women who check at BPS
Zubaidah Sumber Village Simo Boyolali with saturated sampling technique, the number of
respondents is 22. Instruments using is questionnaire. This study used descriptive statistical
analysis of the distribution of frequencies and mode measurements. The results showed that
60% of pregnant women still have trust and confidence with pregnancy myths associated with
changes in the anatomy and physiology of pregnant women, forbidden foods and recommended
and myths associated with behavioral / psychological pregnant women.
